Job Title: Head of Retail Sales

Location: Lagos

Role Overview

  • We are seeking a highly energetic and commercially driven Head of Retail Sales to lead, scale, and optimize our retail sales operations within a fast-paced fintech environment.
  • This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, leading large-scale sales teams, and building high-performance structures that consistently deliver on ambitious targets.
  • The ideal candidate is a strong sales leader with proven experience managing large, distributed teams, implementing performance frameworks, and executing strategies that drive measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive retail sales operations across multiple locations and regions
  • Manage, motivate, and scale a large team of sales agents, team leads, and supervisors
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets
  • Implement robust performance management frameworks to track, measure, and improve team output
  • Set clear sales targets and KPIs, ensuring consistent achievement across all retail channels
  • Oversee daily sales operations and ensure efficiency in execution across all touchpoints
  • Build and maintain structured sales processes, reporting lines, and operational systems
  • Recruit, train, and develop high-performing sales talent to drive productivity and growth
  • Monitor sales performance trends and optimize strategies for improved conversion and revenue
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, operational standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer acquisition, retention, and overall experience

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior retail sales leadership role (fintech, banking, or telecoms preferred)
  • Strong track record of driving sales performance and revenue growth
  • Experience managing large sales teams (100–200+ staff) across multiple locations
  • Demonstrated success in leading multiple sales agents and achieving targets at scale
  • Solid experience in overseeing day-to-day sales operations and administrative functions
  • Strong understanding of sales structures, reporting frameworks, and process optimization
  • High energy, results-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
