Job Brief

• We are seeking a Project Officer who will be responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and reporting mini-grid projects.
• The role involves budget tracking, regulatory compliance, grant and tender management, and performance evaluation of project sites to ensure efficiency and alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning, Monitoring & Reporting:

• Develop detailed project plans and timelines
• Monitor project progress on a weekly basis
• Prepare and submit monthly stakeholder reports
• Ensure high reporting compliance (≥95%)

Project Budget Management:

• Track project budgets against actual expenditures
• Conduct variance analysis at each project milestone
• Provide insights to support financial decision-making

Regulatory & Compliance Management:

• Initiate and manage all regulatory and compliance documentation
• Ensure accurate and complete submission of grant-related documents
• Maintain minimal documentation errors (≤2%)
• Ensure timely review and submission of all compliance requirements

Grant & Tender Applications:

• Identify and process eligible grant and tender opportunities
• Prepare and submit applications before deadlines
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of supporting documentation
• Maintain error rates below 5%

Grant Claims Management:

• Process and submit grant claims within deadlines
• Ensure all claims are accurate and well-documented
• Maintain error rates below 2%

Site Performance Monitoring & Evaluation:

• Generate and distribute monthly site performance reports
• Ensure high data accuracy (≥98%)
• Identify underperforming sites and recommend corrective actions
• Support implementation of performance improvement strategies

Productive Use Equipment (PUE) Monitoring:

• Track and analyze energy consumption before and after PUE deployment
• Evaluate the impact of PUEs on business performance
• Prepare monthly reports on PUE performance and consumption trends

Educational Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• 1–3 years’ experience in project management, preferably in energy or mini-grid projects
• Experience with grant management and regulatory compliance is an added advantage
