Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner

Job Summary
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as the key HR representative for assigned business units and acts as a strategic partner to management in driving organizational performance through effective people management practices.
The role is responsible for implementing HR strategies, managing employee relations, supporting talent acquisition and development, driving performance management, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and organizational policies.
The HRBP will work closely with the Group Human Resources Manager to execute group-wide HR initiatives and support the achievement of business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with business leaders and departmental heads to align HR initiatives with organizational goals and operational requirements.
Serve as the primary HR contact for assigned business units and provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers and employees.
Support the Group Human Resources Manager in the implementation of group-wide HR strategies, policies, procedures, and organizational development initiatives.
Lead end-to-end recruitment and selection processes to attract, hire, and retain high-performing talent.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation in compliance with organizational and statutory requirements.
Drive employee engagement initiatives aimed at improving workplace culture, morale, productivity, and retention.
Develop, implement, and monitor performance management systems and processes across the organization.
Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, grievance handling, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations.
Analyze HR metrics, workforce trends, and employee data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to management.
Prepare and submit periodic HR reports to the Group Human Resources Manager.
Identify training and development needs and coordinate the implementation of learning and development programs.
Support workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning initiatives.
Administer compensation and benefits processes and support periodic salary reviews and benchmarking exercises.
Interpret and communicate HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application across all assigned business units.
Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, and organizational policies.
Support change management initiatives and organizational restructuring projects as required.
Collaborate with leadership teams to improve employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
Monitor and continuously improve HR processes, systems, and service delivery standards.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field.
Professional certification such as CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or an equivalent HR qualification is an added advantage.
Minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 2 years in an HR Business Partner, HR Generalist, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws, HR policies, and best practices.
Demonstrated experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, talent development, and HR operations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR Information Systems (HRIS).
