The Dispatch Rider is responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of customer orders while providing exceptional customer service that reflects the Apex Restaurant brand.
The role also includes maintaining the assigned motorcycle, adhering to all road safety regulations, and supporting the restaurant's delivery operations to achieve high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Operations:
Collect customer orders from the dispatch station after confirming accuracy with the dispatch coordinator.
Ensure all food orders are securely packaged and handled to maintain food quality during transit.
Deliver customer orders promptly within the expected delivery time.
Follow the most efficient delivery routes while complying with traffic laws.
Obtain proof of delivery through customer signatures, Pictures, or electronic confirmation where applicable.
Return undelivered orders to the restaurant with a detailed explanation of the reason for non-delivery.
Customer Service:
Represent Apex Restaurant professionally during every customer interaction.
Greet customers courteously upon delivery.
Verify customer identity and delivery details before handing over orders.
Address customer concerns politely and escalate unresolved issues to the dispatch supervisor.
Thank customers for choosing Apex Restaurant and encourage repeat patronage.

Motorcycle Management:
Conduct daily inspections of the assigned motorcycle before commencing deliveries.

Report any faults or maintenance issues immediately.
Keep the motorcycle clean and presentable at all times.
Safety Responsibilities:

Never ride under the influence of alcohol or prohibited substances.
Avoid reckless driving or unsafe shortcuts.
Prioritize personal safety and the safety of others at all times.
Cash & Payment Handling:
Where applicable:
Collect cash payments accurately.
Verify POS transaction confirmations before leaving the customer's location.
Return all cash collections and receipts immediately after completing assigned deliveries.
Maintain complete accountability for all funds handled.

Qualifications
Minimum of SSCE or equivalent.
Valid Nigerian Rider's Licence.
Good knowledge of Abuja road networks and surrounding areas.
Minimum of one (1) year of dispatch or delivery experience is an added advantage.
Ability to use smartphones and GPS navigation applications.
Ability to read and understand delivery instructions.

Ensure delivery bags and equipment remain clean and in good condition.

Protect company property and assets.
Refrain from smoking, eating, or consuming alcohol while on duty.
Avoid carrying unauthorized passengers or personal goods on company deliveries.
