Job Title: Business Development & Sales Manager

Job Summary

  • As we continue to grow, we are looking for a results-driven Business Development & Sales Manager to drive revenue growth, expand our client base, and lead a high-performing sales team.
  • The Business Development & Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic business development, client acquisition, and sales execution.
  • The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, build strong client relationships, lead a sales team, and develop strategies that achieve the company's growth and revenue targets.
  • This role requires a commercially focused professional with strong B2B sales experience, leadership capability, and a proven ability to close high-value deals.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve annual revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target industries.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
  • Research market trends and identify opportunities for business expansion.
  • Evaluate previous business development initiatives and recommend improvements.

Sales & Revenue Growth:

  • Drive the sales of Haul247's logistics and technology solutions to medium and large businesses.
  • Develop sales strategies to consistently achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, and commercial offers.
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms while maintaining healthy profit margins.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting to contract closure.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Understand client needs and recommend suitable business solutions.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
  • Support the preparation of Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and tender submissions.
  • Ensure excellent customer experience throughout the sales process.

Reporting & Performance Management:

  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and revenue performance reports.
  • Monitor sales performance and recommend actions to improve results.
  • Track key performance metrics and present insights to management.

Leadership:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Business Development team.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support employee development initiatives.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Achievement of monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Revenue growth.
  • New client acquisition and conversion rates.
  • Sales pipeline growth.
  • Market expansion and business development initiatives.
  • Client retention and satisfaction.

Requirements
Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in Business Development or Sales.
  • At least 3 years in a leadership or people management role.
  • Proven experience selling B2B solutions and managing enterprise accounts.
  • Experience in logistics, technology, supply chain, fintech, or related industries is an advantage.
  • Project management experience is desirable.

Salary
N600,000 - N1,000,000 monthly.
