Job Title: Business Development Manager – FMCG

Summary

  • To drive revenue growth by acquiring and managing clients within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, positioning the organization as a preferred partner for recruitment, staffing, and workforce solutions across the FMCG value chain.

  • Converting prospects into signed recruitment and workforce solution contracts.
  • Responding effectively to fast-paced and high-volume hiring demands.

Key Responsibilities
Market Penetration & Client Targeting:

  • Identify and target:

    • FMCG manufacturers
    • Distributors and wholesalers
    • Retail chains and modern trade operators
  • Map key decision-makers across:

    • Human Resources
    • Talent Acquisition
    • Commercial functions
    • Operations functions

Opportunity Identification:

  • Identify workforce and hiring needs across:

    • Sales (Field Sales Representatives, Territory Managers, Sales Executives)
    • Supply Chain and Logistics
    • Production and Factory Operations
    • Marketing and Trade Execution
  • Track seasonal, expansion-driven, and campaign-based hiring trends.
  • Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of recruitment and workforce solution opportunities.
  • Proactively identify new business prospects and market opportunities within the FMCG sector.

Sales Conversion & Deal Closure:

  • Manage the full sales lifecycle:

    • Prospecting
    • Client Engagement
    • Proposal Development
    • Negotiation
  • Contract Closure
  • Convert opportunities into:
    • Recruitment Retainer Agreements
    • Contingency Hiring Contracts
    • Outsourced Workforce Solutions
    • Managed Service Arrangements
    • Negotiate pricing, margins, and commercial terms.
    • Achieve revenue targets through successful deal closure and account expansion.

Proposal Development & Commercial Structuring:

  • Develop customized proposals aligned with client workforce requirements.
  • Define:
    • Scope of recruitment and staffing services
    • Delivery timelines and service levels
    • Pricing structures (per hire, project-based, bulk hiring, managed services)
  • Collaborate with internal recruitment and delivery teams to ensure operational feasibility.
  • Present proposals in a clear, structured, and commercially compelling manner.

Client Relationship & Account Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with FMCG clients.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and service delivery.
  • Identify and drive account growth opportunities, including:
    • Bulk hiring projects
    • Multi-location staffing engagements
    • Long-term workforce outsourcing arrangements
  • Act as a trusted advisor on talent acquisition and workforce planning strategies.
  • Maintain regular client engagement to identify emerging business opportunities.

Market Intelligence & Business Strategy:

  • Monitor FMCG market trends, including:

    • Hiring patterns and workforce demand
    • Industry developments
    • Competitive landscape
    • Compensation benchmarks
  • Provide market intelligence and insights to support business growth strategies.
  • Identify expansion opportunities, new market entrants, and emerging recruitment needs within the sector.

Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Revenue generated from FMCG accounts
  • Number of new clients acquired
  • Conversion rate of opportunities to signed contracts
  • Client retention and account growth
  • Value of staffing and recruitment projects secured

Experience & Competency Requirements / Experience

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree
  • 6 - 10 years of experience in FMCG sales, business development, recruitment, staffing, or workforce solutions.
  • Proven track record of:
    • Acquiring and managing FMCG clients
    • Delivering measurable revenue growth
    • Building long-term client relationships
    • Achieving sales and business development targets

Commercial Competencies:
