Job Title: Driver

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Summary

• We are seeking a responsible and safety-conscious Driver to provide reliable transportation services for staff, goods, or company operations.
• The ideal candidate will ensure timely deliveries, maintain assigned vehicles in good working condition, and adhere strictly to road safety regulations and company transportation policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport staff, goods, materials, or company assets to designated locations.
• Ensure timely pick-up and delivery while following assigned schedules and routes.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of assigned vehicle at all times.
• Monitor fuel levels, engine oil, tire pressure, and other vehicle maintenance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies.
• Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
• Report vehicle faults, accidents, or maintenance issues promptly to management.
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods when required.
• Ensure all vehicle documents including license, insurance, and registration are valid and up to date.
• Plan routes effectively to avoid unnecessary delays and ensure efficiency.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and proper conduct while representing the company.

Requirements

• Minimum of an SSCE/OND qualification or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• 2 - 5 years proven experience as a professional driver.
• Good knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Familiarity with local routes, highways, and navigation within assigned locations.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends when required.
• Physically fit and able to handle long-distance driving when necessary.
