Job Title: Market Researcher

Job Description

• Are you great at collecting, assimilating, and interpreting data in order to identify changes and forecast trends? Do you have skills in surveying customer preferences and statistical data in order to support customers during their decision making process regarding product designs, prices and promotions? If this is you, then we would like to meet you.
• The incumbent should be able to monitor the progress of data collection, collate information, and make recommendations based on the data collected.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate research projects
• Understand business objectives and design surveys to discover prospective customers’ preferences
• Perform valid and reliable market research SWOT analysis
• Design questionnaires and advise on methodology of data collection
• Collect data and assimilate statistics using statistical software
• Monitor the progress of data collection
• Collate information and interpret data
• Making recommendations based on the data collected
• Negotiating contracts for research projects
• Managing focus groups carrying out interviews and conducting surveys
• Managing budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Marketing or related field
• Minimum of 5 years proven Market Research Analysis experience
• Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Excellent knowledge of statistical packages (SPSS, SAS or similar), databases and MS Office
• Familiarity with CRM programs
• Adequate knowledge of data collection methods
• Working knowledge of data warehousing, modelling and mining
• Strong analytical and critical thinking.
