Admission into HND (Full-Time) and Pre-ND Programmes of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede for 2014/2015 Academic Session

The Federal Polytechnic Ede, Osun State - Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State in the 2014/2015 Academic Session.

Available Programmes
1. Higher National Diploma (HND) Full Time Programme
The following programs are available on Full-Time basis only for two academic sessions.

(A) School of Applied Sciences

• Statistics
• Science Laboratory Technology with options Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics with Electronics.

(B) School of Business Studies

• Accountancy
• Banking and Finance
• Business Administration and Management
• Marketing
• Office Technology and Management

(c) School of Environmental Studies

• Architectural Technology
• Quantity Surveying
• Estate Management

(D) School of Engineering Technology

• Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology with options in: Power and Machine, Electronics Telecommunication Engineering.

Entry Requirements for Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes:
Applicants for admission into the HND programs will be required to have the in following qualifications:

• National Diploma(ND) with a minimum of Lower Credit in the relevant field and five (5) relevant OIL credit passes at WASC,GCE,NECO and NABTEB at not more than two sittings. These credit passes must include English Language and Mathematics.
• Evidence of one year Post ND cognate experience (Industrial Training)
• Applicants with Pass Grade in the ND will be required to have at least two (2) years Post National Diploma Industrial Experience.
• Candidate will not be admitted into HND programs different from those they had in their ND programs.
• Candidate applying for HND Office Technology Management (OTM) are to bring their laptop to the interview.
• Candidates with ND BAM/MKT are eligible to apply for FIND Marketing.
• It is mandatory for FIND Full-Time applicants to fill the Matriculation Numbers used for their ND programs.

Pre ND Science Programme
Applicants seeking admission into the PRE ND science program must have a minimum of five(5) credit passes in WASC/GCE/NECO/NABTEB which must include English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings.

1. All applications attract a charge of Ten thousand Naira (N10,000.00) only exclusive of bank and other charges.
2. All Payments for application should be made through ‘College Pay’ using your Debit Card, Master Card, or Prepaid Card. Payment of application form fees by candidates will be through interswitch/Quick teller, so kindly find below the steps to be followed:

Step One: Getting a Payment ID
Visit the polytechnic website: admissions.federalpolyede.edu.ng
Click on the APPLY NOW link
At the upper right hand side of the page that opens is a link that says: click here first to confirm the payment ID for use on this system - Every intending candidates needs a payment ID for the E-Payment platform;
Enter your name and email address in the appropriate fields. This will fetch a payment ID for you;
this payment ID is exclusively for use on the e-payment portal. Quick teller ID so displayed and go back to the home page of the payment portal
Your bill will show amount payable including the transaction fee. In order to monitor the payment, a separate transaction ID is generated for this; the transaction ID should be noted but it is highly advisable that this page be printed out and kept safely for future reference.

Your bill will always include a transaction fee of three hundred naira (300.00). The next step is the actual payment of the fees and there are two channels for your convenience, these are the Automated Teller Machine (ATM) and the payment service quickteller.com

The requirement is the possession of a debit card which is interswitca enabled. On the back of such a card on will see the interswitch logo, it can be issued by any deposit money bank and used on any ATM.

If you do not have a debit card please go to any branch of any Bank anywhere in Nigeria. Request to get a preloaded debit card, also called a cash card: The teller receives your cash and funds your debit card: thereafter you may proceed to the ATM or Quickteller.com

Option one: WEB (Quickteller.com)
Type www.quickteller.com into your browser
Once the home page loads, scroll down to the PAYCHOICE category
Select Federal Polytechnic Ede
Select your payment code as printed on your invoice. Each program has its own unique payment code.
Enter your email address; please ensure it is a valid email address that is use as the status of your transaction will be sent to this address.
Enter your mobile phone number - this should be operational as an SMS will be sent to the number
Enter the transaction ID from your invoice.
Click on Next.
A new page comes up and this page shows yours names, transaction ID and various other details automatically generated by the process.
Proceed to enter details of your card and follow the instructions.
Click process payment.
Print your payment receipt from the switch. A copy is also sent to your email. An SMS message is also sent to your phone.
Option Two: Automated Teller Machine (ATM)

• Ensure that the ATM card is inters witch-enabled, and that the amount payable + transaction fee of the three hundred naira (N300.00) is available on the card.
• From any quick teller-enabled ATM, insert your card and enter your PIN
• Select Quick teller
• Select Others
• Enter the payment/Quick teller code printed on your invoice
• Enter the transaction Reference Number (Transaction ID) for the transaction (printed on your bill/invoice)
• Confirm the transaction and then the payment is processed
• Pick your payment receipt from the ATM (if available)

Regardless of the preferred payment channel used to complete your payment, the Poly portal is automatically updated with your payment after completion and you will be able to complete the online admission form.
3. All applicants are requested to have two (2) referees with valid email address.
4. All application closes on the 13th September, 2014.

Beware of fraudsters. The polytechnic has no agent and you are not expected to come to the Polytechnic for the registration.
