We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Location: Lugbe, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Roles and Responsibilities

  • As head of the marketing department, the director oversees all communications, public relations and promotional activities selected to support the brand and marketing strategy.
  • This includes design, production and distribution of print materials such as brochures, ads and direct response plus radio and television spots needed for broadcast campaigns, according to WizeHire.
  • In line with the need to keep the brand in front of the target audience, the marketing director manages press relations, speaking engagements, special events and community outreach activities.
  • Website maintenance, social media participation and trade show exhibitions represent additional tasks supervised.
  • An executive-level Chief Marketing Officer must be experienced in both analytical and creative traits.
  • He/ she should have extensive knowledge of industry-level production, information technology, legal, and finance aspects.
  • Some of the major roles and significant responsibilities that govern this particular role are as mentioned below:

Other Duties:

  • The real estate marketing director supervises a staff of professionals and serves as an internal consultant to any business units within the corporation.
  • Staying informed about marketing trends and monitoring industry changes helps marketing directors maintain their firm's competitiveness.
  • As keeper of the brand, the director often attends client presentations and helps prepare request for proposals, or RFPs, used to pitch new business.

Usual Qualifications

  • Employers seek candidates with a strong marketing acumen as demonstrated by education and experience for marketing director jobs.
  • Those with a B.Sc Degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field get top consideration, but having a Master’s in Marketing or an MBA gives applicants an edge.
  • Expect to need at least three to five years of marketing experience.
  • While not usually required, employers look favorably on candidates with some real estate background or exposure to construction development.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Successful marketing directors in the real estate industry juggle multiple projects at once in a fast-paced work environment, and often under several supervisors.

  • CMO directly reports to the Chief executive officer (CEO).
  • CMO’s primary job is to generate revenue by increasing sales through successful campaigns and marketing tactics for the entire company. It includes the proper application of sound market research, pricing, brand marketing, effective marketing communications, advertising, and public relations.
  • CMO’s role can’t be exactly defined in a short span. It is expanded over different dimensions, i.e., sales management, new business development, product and brand development, distribution channel management, and esteemed customer service.

  • The power to accumulate and implement effective marketing capabilities are the significant traits of a successful CMO.
  • CMO should function as a capability builder to lead the function’s reach across the business.
  • He/ she should devise a compatible and feasible marketing plan for its department and oversee its day-to-day implementation.

  • CMO should be an out-of-the-box thinker. A person who can create breakthroughs with his/ her ideas.
  • Innovative thinking plays a role of catalyst in a CMO’s job role and the wise usage of data and due intelligence towards the advancement of growth agenda.
  • CMO should know how to disseminate the news about their companies’ products and invite customers to participate in the narrative.
  • A good storytelling attribute is a must for CMO to promote brand relevance and consistency.

  • As marketing decisions vary in different organizations and most-importantly take place in real-time, that’s why CMO’s job role is likely to become even more complicated.

Salary
N50,000 - N100,000 Monthly.
