Job Description

• This role is primarily responsible for providing technical support on IT network infrastructure and maintaining the IT network infrastructure environment.
• The Job Holder would report to the Deputy Director/Assistant Director I.T

Duties & Responsibilities

• Research, analyse and define hardware and software network infrastructure.
• Ensure availability and smooth running of IT network infrastructure environment within the Organisation.
• Plan, design, and maintain data networks and servers.
• Ensure compliance with relevant IT policies, processes and procedures including; security, business continuity and disaster recovery plans, quality management, systems management, incident and problem management, change and configuration management, and service level agreements.
• Provide training and guidance on hardware and operating software to other ICT staff.
• Plan, design and implement data connectivity for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems.
• Liaise with third party suppliers of hardware and software.
• Administer day-to-day operation of networks and servers.
• Ensure adequate capacity on existing IT infrastructures and oversee the upgrade/migration of existing infrastructures when required.
• Operate, maintain, develop and ensure the security of Printers, Faxes, Desktop Applications and other auxiliary equipment and peripherals.

Job Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Computer Science and Engineering.
• Relevant professional qualification and certifications (CCNA, MCSE, ITIL, CCNP, CCSP, and A+) is mandatory.
• A minimum of 6 years work experience of which at least 2 years should have been in similar function.

Key Competency Requirements:

• Working knowledge of network architecture, topologies, design, management, switching and routing including server, LAN and WAN management.
• A good knowledge of TCP/IP protocol.
