Policy Research Analyst at the Electricity Hub

The Electricity Hub (TEH) is a digital media organisation that provides a variety of platforms and programmes for the analysis and dissemination of power sector related news and information. In addition, TEH disseminates information on topical issues in the power sector to enlighten the customers, thereby arming and enabling them to partake in market activities from a position of strength. TEH also develops several initiatives and programmes to highlight the clean energy transition and the impact of energy access on the African continent.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Policy Research Analyst

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Key Responsibilities
The Policy & Research Analyst will perform the following activities:

• Source news content daily for the Hub
• Support video and text content creation for website and social media channels
• Facilitate the planning and implementation of TEH Power Dialogues and other events.
• Manage special projects and programmes.

Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess the following:

• Bachelor's Degree with a demonstrated interest in the power sector. (Masters’ degree is a bonus).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the energy or any related sector.
• Possess research and communications skills.
• Must be able to develop and manage creative information campaigns and communications programmes.
• Must be able to lead teams of competent members to yield desired project results.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to manage relations with development partners and clients.
• Must have a high level of energy, initiative and flexibility in quickly adjusting to changing work program requirements.
• Must possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple changing and competing priorities.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Able to work independently when needed or as part of a team.
