Niger State College of Agriculture, Mokwa was established in June 1979 as an arm of the Niger State Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Niger State College of Agriculture invites applications from qualified candidates to fill the below position:

Job Title: Provost

Location: Mokwa, Niger State.

Responsibilities

• The Provost is the Chief Executive Officer and Academic Head of the College and he is responsible to the Governing Council He is also responsible for the general administration of the College In accordance with provisions of the laws establishing the College.

Requirements

• Candidates must possess a minimum of a Master Degree in Agriculture from recognized University with a minimum of 5 years post cognate experience, at least 5 of which must be in management position Doctorate degree will be added advantage:
• must belong to at least a relevant professional body.
• Must have published articles in reputable comets anti presented papers at seminars, conferences.
• Workshops and knowledgeable in ICT.
• Must possess strong academic, administrative and visionary qualities. Also he/she must be creative and is initiative in policy formulation. Implementation and have good human relations,
• Must be mentally and physically sound to effectively discharge responsibilities of the office

Terms of Appointment:

• The Provost shall hold office for 4 years arid may be appointed for another period of 4 years upon satisfactory performance only.
• The Salary 5 consolidated and he/she shall enjoy other fringe benefits 01 the office as may be approved by the Governing Council or any other appropriate Authority.
