To contribute to the attainment of departmental objectives by ensuring the day-to-day monitoring of the production process, steps, and personnel in line with the company’s food safety, quality management, and environmental policies to achieve the set performance targets stated below.
Key Responsibilities
HSE:
Ensure implementation and compliance with HSE policy, management system, and standard in assigned aspect of business operations.
Conduct periodic audits of operations and practice to monitor the effectiveness of compliance to HSE management system and regulations, as well as mitigation actions against identified risks.
Promote a culture of safety and environmental consciousness through training and advocacy throughout the organization.
Quality Assurance & Food Safety:
Monitor production processes and steps (OPRP, CCP) in assigned areas to ensure compliance with product specifications and food (product) safety.
Partake in review and development of programs, procedures, and specifications for process and product improvements.
Ensure adequate and timely documentation of operational procedures (preoperative) and records.
Ensure only products that meet the company’s specifications are dispatched to customers.
Partake in continuous training of operatives on relevant standards and procedures to achieve operational excellence.
Ensure hygiene standards are met in assigned production area(s) and adherence of personnel to GMP and Good Hygiene Practices.
Ensure timely correction or reporting of non-conformance for appropriate corrective action.
Carry out other functions that may be assigned to you by your direct report or farm manager from time-to-time in attainment of the department goals.

Skills, Competencies, and Requirements
Functional Competencies/Requirements:
Good knowledge of Process Management, Standardization, and Improvement (Management Programs, Procedures, ISO 22000, 1SO 9001, TQM & HSE)
Good Knowledge of general prerequisite and management programs
Product Research & Development
Knowledge of integrated poultry operation
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Quality Data Management & MIS systems, and software
Operation Problem-Solving and decision-making (CARA)
Experience in driving implementation of quality systems and managing relationships with all stakeholders and regulatory agencies such as Standard Organization of Nigeria, NAFDAC, NESREA
Leadership and team management Capability
Knowledge of budgeting, cost management, and operation forecasting skills
