We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Plumber

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Contract

Job Responsibilities

• Exercise general control over all activities in plumbing works and water treatment.
• Must be competent in handling sewage works.
• Maintain pipes and piping networks.
• Handle sewage works.
• Must be able to install and uninstall sanitary wares.
• Must understand the required measurements in the installation of sanitary wares.
• Must have good knowledge of the various pipes, their properties, and uses.
• Any other related job HSE Responsibilities.
• Take reasonable care of your safety.
• Take reasonable care of the safety of others who might be affected.
• Comply with all reasonable safety policies and procedures of the company including reporting of hazards or incidents via the company’s reporting process.
• Take care of all equipment and PPEs in his possession.

Requirements (Education / Training / Experience)

• 3 - 5 years’ experience in residential/commercial facility management is compulsory.
• A minimum level of Education should be Trade Test
• Must be available to resume immediately.
• The ideal candidate should be good at general building maintenance.

Job Knowledge:

• The incumbent is required to have a thorough, technical understanding of major building plumbing/mechanical systems and equipment, with a specialty in plumbing systems.
• Familiarization with general mechanical systems, including domestic hot and cold water piping systems, wastewater piping systems and vent stacks, stormwater management systems, chilled water systems, water treatment facilities, swimming pool equipment, fire suppression systems, compressed air systems, and irrigation systems is required.
• Familiarization with different types of pipe and fittings (PVC and CPVC, copper, galvanized, concrete, black, etc.) is required.
• Must know how to diagnose the root cause of a problem and what materials and equipment will be needed to facilitate repairs.
• Must know how to work safely on equipment, systems, and associated components including the use of lock-out / tag-out safety measures. Knowledge of International Building Code ( IBC) standards, and fire and life safety codes are required.

Salary
N65,000 - N100,000 Monthly.
