Job Title: E-Commerce Sales Manager

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Profile

  • The E-commerce Manager will develop, and execute an integrated, digital channel strategy, built around measurement and performance, this strategy is rooted in data and crafted to drive our B2C revenue and online branding goals.
  • The E-commerce Manager will be responsible for creating and executing on an annual e-commerce budget.
  • The job holder will be responsible for all daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reporting to senior leadership. The job holder will also manage an online consumer service function and will work closely across departments in order to execute the business vision.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management:
    • Category management and update (Price, product, description and availability)
    • Evaluate new products and position effectively on the website
    • Creation of a product landing page on the website
    • Site maintenance (Ensuring links are functional, content remains relevant to the product, all content is optimized, using keywords in the description of products).
    • Constant tests on all e-commerce functionalities
  • Delivery and Logistics:
    • Online order management from purchase to delivery
    • Activate push notifications to customers at sale milestone (Abandoned checkout, order confirmation, shipment and delivery)
    • Document daily deliveries and shipments to update inventory.
    • Keep track of all shipments handled by the logistic department
    • Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
  • Sales and Customer Management:
    • Track response to customer inquiries and data records of the prospective buyer
    • Follow up on vendor verification & proposal for bulk purchase
    • Manage leads & prospects across all platforms
    • Drive sales to meet the established monthly Sales target of the unit
    • Constantly assess current system and operation limitations and look for areas of sales growth in those areas
    • Generate creative and unique promotion & offers tactics for B2C and Marketplace business based on market research and competitive analytics
  • Marketing:
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create an online strategy that takes into consideration online offers and sales, product pricing and online policies.
    • Develop the best marketing campaign that will attract more customers and increase website traffic and online sales.
    • Develop content calendar and oversee website uploads and landing pages development
    • Any other duties as assigned by Line Manager or Management
    • Experiment with innovative marketing tools, techniques, and analytics to drive growth and optimize user experience across the websites, e-commerce channels, and other online platforms
  • Website Administration:
    • Identify or document backup or recovery plans.
    • Back up or modify applications and related data to provide for disaster recovery.
    • Correct testing-identified problems, or recommend actions for their resolution.
    • Identify, standardize, and communicate levels of access and security.
    • Determine sources of Web page or server problems, and take action to correct such problems.
    • Develop and implement ecommerce strategy in order to improve website performance.
  • Strategy:
    • Report on performance.
    • Understand sales and product marketing strategies of each product group and develop unique and relevant eCommerce sales strategies for different product categories considering their different nature of categories and needs.
    • Collaborate with performance marketing, strategy & planning, operations, customer experience, finance, legal and division sales teams to build tactical product and promotion plans.
    • Analyze and manage P&L impact of promotions and apply to future planning for a profitable long-term growth
    • Partnership Management: Lead Partnership Management and business relationships with external partners (Online Reseller, Distributor, Payment provider and various Service providers, Marketplace or Direct customers)
    • Lead and supported new Account Development
  • Training and Development:
    • Support development and management of product training and Learning Management System (LMS) content to enhance customer and salesperson intelligence

Skills & Expertise

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields with 7 - 10 years work experience.
  • Experience in developing and executing data-driven growth strategies, using a range of tactics including sales, marketing, and partnerships.
  • Managing national sales function in the E-Commerce channel
  • Developing and executing on robust sales strategies
  • Meeting and exceeding multi-million sales targets
  • Leading and managing a team
  • In-depth knowledge of sales and marketing software.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
  • Knowledge of software and technology is an added advantage
