Job Title: Contract & Procurement Specialist

Overview
As a Contract & Procurement Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient procurement processes and managing contracts effectively within the organization.
Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks, from negotiating contracts with suppliers to overseeing the procurement lifecycle.
You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to align procurement strategies with organizational goals, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
Procurement Management:
Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate terms and conditions to secure favorable contracts.
Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and supplier performance.
Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services while meeting quality standards.
Monitor procurement activities to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Contract Management:
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, vendors, and service providers.
Ensure contract terms are clear, enforceable, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Collaborate with legal and finance teams to mitigate risks and address contractual issues.
Track contract milestones, renewals, and amendments to ensure compliance and timely execution.
Resolve disputes and discrepancies arising from contract interpretation or performance.
Supplier Relationship Management:
Cultivate positive relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvement.
Evaluate supplier performance based on predefined metrics and feedback from internal stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for cost savings, process efficiencies, and value-added services through supplier engagement.
Address supplier concerns promptly and effectively to maintain productive partnerships.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing procurement and contracts.
Ensure adherence to internal policies, ethical standards, and best practices in procurement and contracting.
Assess and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities, including supplier selection, contract negotiations, and performance monitoring.
Implement measures to enhance transparency, accountability, and integrity in procurement processes.
Reporting and Analysis:
Generate reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs), expenditures, and savings achieved through procurement activities.
Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in procurement operations.
Provide insights and recommendations to management for strategic decision-making and process optimization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
Proven experience (5years) in procurement, contract management, or related roles, preferably in a corporate or government setting.
Strong understanding of procurement principles, contract law, and negotiation techniques.
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in contract management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high ethical standards in procurement practices.
