The Nigeria Atomic Energy Commision (NAEC) is the focal national agency manadated to develop the framework and technical pathway to exploit, explore and harness atomic energy for peaceful applications in all its ramifications for the socio-economic development of Nigeria.

Recruitment of Fresh Graduates in Science and Engineering for a Three-Month Bridging Training Programme in Nuclear Science and Engineering

Nigeria Atomic Energy Commision (NAEC) Abuja, Nigeria. As part of its effort to achieve set national objectives, NAEC has started the implementation of a deliberate policy to promote and coordinate relevant programmes aimed at capacity building, infrastructure development and human capital development to generate the critical mass of manpower needed to drive the national nuclear programmes.

In this regard, NAEC is seeking to recruit fresh graduates in science and engineering for a three-month bridging-training programme in nuclear science and engineering. Graduates of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Mechanical /Electrical /Chemical /Material /Metallurgy and Computer Engineering, below 25 years of age, with a minimum of second class honours (upper division) degree are eligible for considderation.

At the successful completion of the three-month training programme, it is expected that the graduands would have acquired a suitable foundation which will equip them for post-graduate studies in nuclear science and engineering or find employment as professionals in the various aspects of the national nuclear technology programmes, as well as academics int he universities and polytechnics.

Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified candidate for enlistment in the programme.

An Aptitude test will be conducted in each of the six geopolitical zones of the country.

Why that applicant should be below 25years before considering qualified to apply? Is it not a way of disqualifying eligible graduates? It is a very shamefull thing to Nigerians. I suggest you made it that eligible graduates should be 20years or below so that you can satisfy your interest.

@ Ibanga,dont mind them. After all,its their children dt'll qualify. Why cant they say 5 years below? Is it ones fault to graduate at a certain age against all d irregular strike in public higher institution. Of course,their children av spent all their lives in private schools. To hell with their jobs!

@ Ibanga and Junaid: I quite undastnd with you guys, but its not enough reason 2 beef NAEC.. They have thier reasons 4 watever criteria dey decide 2 use.. So instead of geting MAD, get EVEN.. Try some place else.. TO NAEC, GOOD JOB, WELDONE! I CANT WAIT 2 START D TRAINING. NAEC..... SIMPLY DA BOMB!!!

Its a shame indeed 4 nigeria where they mk age a determing factor 4 applyn for a job 4getin d years u waste b4 gainin admission nd at d university b4 graduatin cos of strikes,u strugle 2 finish atlast n d labour market says u av 2b below 25yrs or wit 3yrs workin expernce,hw many few av dat qualifcatn.
