Driver at African Union

The African Union, established as a unique Pan African continental body, is charged with spearheading Africas rapid integration and sustainable development by promoting unity, solidarity, cohesion and. cooperation among the peoples of Africa and African States as well as developing a new partnership worldwide. Its Headquarters is located in Addis Ababa, capital city of Ethiopia.

In seeking to achieve this objective, the African Union intends to strengthen its capacity to deliver amongst others, the implementation of its organizational structure and the filling of all vacant posts.

The Commission of the African Union invites applicants who are citizens of Member States for a position at the Scientific, Technical And Research Commission, Abuja-Nigeria.

Job Title: Driver

Grade: GSB7
Supervisor: Finance and Administration Officer
Location: Abuja - FCT, Nigeria

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Driving officials to perform official duties.
• Picking up and dropping off official from and to the airports.
• Keeping official cars clean and in good order.
• Operates the vehicle in a safe and courteous manner.

Educational Qualification

• Valid drivers licence.
• Minimum of 3 years working experience as a driver in an International Organization or Diplomatic Mission.
• Ability to read and write.
• Good interpersonal relationship will be an added advantage.
• Possess and maintain a safe driving record.

Age Requirement
Candidates must preferably be between 30 and 45 years old.

Remuneration
Indicative basic salary of USD6,536.00 per annum plus other related entitlements.
